New Delhi: As India continues to battle against the spread of Coronavirus with over 1900 confirmed cases, people from all walks of life, including Bollywood stars have stepped in to contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. PM Narendra Modi had announced the creation of Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES) on March 28. He also made a fervent appeal and asked the citizens to show their support for the cause. Several tinsel town celebs like Akshay Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal, Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan have contributed their bit.

Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in 'Panga', has also stepped forward to support the cause of combating the spread of COVID-19. The 'Manikarnika: actress has donated Rs 25 lakh to the PM-CARES fund. She will also sponsor the meals of daily wage earners. Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel took to Twitter to inform about her contribution.

“Kangana has also contributed to PM cares 25 lakhs and donated Ration to daily wage earners families, we need to stand united and do what best we can, many thanks from our family," Rangoli tweeted.



Kangana's family members have also made a contribution in the fight against Coronavirus that has created havoc in the entire world. Her mother Asha Ranaut has extended support by donating her one month’s pension.

“My mother gave her one month pension, we don’t know how long lock down will last we need to survive with what we have but we can make few adjustments for the nation,thanks @narendramodi Ji for giving us a chance to contribute #PMCARES @PMOIndia," Rangoli wrote on the micro-blogging site.



On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in 'Thalaivi'. The 'Queen' actress is playing the role of former Tamil Nadu CM J. Jayalalithaa in the biopic. She has several other exciting projects in her kitty including 'Tejas' and 'Dhaakad'.
