New Delhi: The novel Coronavirus outbreak has has wreaked havoc in many countries all over the world including India. Many national as well as International celebrities have tested positive for COVID-19 and some of them have lost their lives too. After contracting Coronavirus, International actor-comedian Tim Brooke-Taylor, best known as a member of comedy group 'The Goodies' alongside Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, is no more. He passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday (April 12).


The news was confirmed by his agent, who said in a statement: "It is with great sadness that we announce Tim’s death early today from Covid-19."

"He was an exceptional client and a pleasure to represent. We’re grateful that we have so much of his work to view, read and listen to.

The statement continued: "He had, of course, many fans whom he always treated cheerfully even after long and exhausting rehearsals and recordings."

On the career front, Tim Brooke-Taylor also appeared on BBC radio show 'Sorry, I’ll Read That Again' and was a frequent panellist on radio series 'I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue' for more than 40 years.
