New Delhi: We have now embraced more realism in our cinema today, opening the door for actors to now experiment and take on versatile characters with much gusto – Enters Vikrant Massey, undoubtedly one of the breakthrough talents, who fit the bill and was loved as the 'boy-next-door' but wasn’t afraid to tread new waters with content like ‘Haseen Dilruba’, ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Love Hostel’.
Sharp in his choices, the actor has consistently taken on versatile roles, playing two sides of the coin with the same conviction; a move that has made us sit up and take notice!
In fact, Vikrant’s co-star in the film Chitrangda believes that the actor who conventionally makes for the ideal ‘good boy’ is more interesting to watch as the ‘bad guy’. Chitrangda shares on Vikrant, "I think there is a really nice, wicked side to him which he kind of brings out when he does a certain role or a part, which I would love for him to do more. Because I just find the 'bad guy' thing so much more attractive as a character, when you see them on screen. It’s nice to delve into that, especially because it’s so unexpected out of a good boy."
Vikrant is indeed an actor who has a distinct charm. Be it films or web series, the actor has always put in his best and has been delivering the unexpected every time. This is the reason the actor today enjoys vibrant filmography and the audience also expects something new from him on the screen.
Up ahead Vikrant has an extremely exciting lineup with projects like ‘Gaslight’, Maddock's- ‘Sector 36;, Vidhu Vinod Chopra's- ‘12th Fail’, ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba’ and more.
Meanwhile, ‘Gaslight’ co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Chitrangda Singh will be released on March 31, 2023 on Dinseny+Hotstar. ‘Gaslight’ has been directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri.
