New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan starrer 'Chandu Champion' is riding high at the box office. The Kabir Khan directorial opening weekend collections are impressive. As per Sacnilk.com, 'Chandu Champiom' earned double digits on its third day of release, collecting more than Rs. 20 cr at the box office. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared that 'Chandu Champion' collected Rs. 24 cr at the box office.

As per the trade analysis site, 'Chandu Champion' collected Rs. 4.75 cr on Day 1 an Rs. 7 cr on Day 2. On Day 3, the film collected Rs. 10 cr nett in India as per early estimates. As of now, the film has collected Rs. 21.75 cr in India. 'Chandu Champion had an overal 32.47% Hindi occupancy on Sunday.


As per film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Kartik Aaryan film's growth is being helped by a glowing word of mouth reports. Taking to his official Twitter handle, he shared, "The glowing word of mouth has come into play… #ChanduChampion gets the much-needed boost on Day 3 [Sun]… The solid gains - despite #Munjya proving a tough opponent - is a big plus. #ChanduChampion enjoys the advantage of an extended weekend, since Day 4 [Mon] is a holiday… Another bountiful day is on the cards."

'Chandu Champion' is a biopic based on the extraordinary life of India's first Paralymic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar. In the film, Kartik plays Chandu across ages and the various transitions in his life. From being an Indian Army soldier, a wrestler to a 1965 war veteran and swimmer.


Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the film marks Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan's first collaboration on screen. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Bhuvan Arora, Rajpal Yadav and Vijay Raaz in key roles.
