Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, while exclusively talking to ABP News, hailed SC’s verdict and called it a ‘matter of justice’.
"This is absolutely right. The SC decision has now made it clear that the approach of Bihar police was legally correct and justified. Everything was done in accordance with the law. This is not a victory for us, it is a matter of justice. The case has nothing to do with Bihar elections, it has to do with justice," Nitish said.

Welcoming the apex court's verdict, Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti tweeted, "Congratulations to my extended Family!! So happy... first step towards victory and unbiased investigation."
The Supreme Court ordered CBI probe into the 'Pavitra Rishta' actor's death and directed the Mumbai Police to hand over the evidence it collected to the investigative agency. In its verdict, the top cpurt said that the Bihar government is competent to transfer the case to the agency for investigation.
