CANNES to honour Sridevi; Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi-Khushi to attend the film festival

New Delhi: Bollywood lost one of its legendary actresses, Sridevi on February 24^th this year. Sridevi will always be with us through her films and acting. To recognize her work and show her respect, 71^st Cannes Film Festival has decided to honour her on May 16^th. As per report, Sridevi’s husband Boney Kapoor, daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi will attend the tribute which will be held at Le Majestic Beach, Cannes. Tribute will have a special screening of her visual footage of best performances, anecdotes and memories. Talking to HT, Boney Kapoor said, “Im happy that people from the world over are recognising her body of work and her contribution to cinema. Even though the overwhelming emptiness of losing her remains, it’s comforting to know that she lives on through her work." Recently, Sridevi was posthumously awarded the Best Actress Award for her marvellous performance in Mom (2017). On a relates note, until now Kangana Ranaut and Deepika Padukone are slaying in style at 71st Cannes Film Festival.
