‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’: Aditya Chopra To Push Release Date Of Siddhant-Sharvari’s Crime Comedy?

Earlier, 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' was scheduled to release on April 23, 2021, but now, due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, the release date of the movie has been pushed further. Read on.

New Delhi: Aditya Chopra is extremely hopeful of his upcoming movie ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’. This movie is a spiritual sequel to the 2005 hit film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ which starred the superhit pair of that time – Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan. ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ also stars Rani Mukerji along with Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and debutant Sharvari Wagh.

Earlier, the movie was scheduled to release on April 23, 2021, but now, due to the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, the release date of the movie has been pushed further. The new release date of the movie has not been announced yet as of now.

Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to announce the news. He tweeted, “#BreakingNews: #BuntyAurBabli2 - which was scheduled to release in *cinemas* on 23 April 2021 - has been postponed... #YRF will announce the new release date later. #SaifAliKhan, #RaniMukerji, #SiddhantChaturvedi #Sharvari”.

In another tweet, he continued, “Due to the spike in #Covid19 cases and the impact on the entertainment industry in #India, #YRF has taken the call to push the release of #BuntyAurBabli2 ahead.”

This film will also reunite Ranu Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan on-screen after a long time. The superhit duo has starred together in movies like ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’, ‘Hum Tum’ and others.

‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ is produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by debutant filmmaker Varun V. Sharma. Varun has worked as an Assistant Director in Yash Raj Film’s other big entertainers ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’.
