Boney Kapoor posted an old poster for his blockbuster movie ‘Mr. India’, which starred Anil Kapoor and his late wife Sridevi. The film, which created a storm at the box office, was directed by Shekhar Kapur and written by Salim and Javed. As Boney Kapoor's Instagram post went viral, Janhvi Kapoor was also drawn to it.

Taking to Instagram, Boney Kapoor shared the poster, which read ‘Creating new waves in entertainment world’. The producer wrote in the caption, “Can still do it again.”
In the comment section, Janhvi Kapoor said, “You have always done it, you still do it and you will continue to.”
Reacting quickly to the post, fans demanded a sequel and urged to cast Janhvi and Varun Dhawan in the main roles. One of the fans wrote, “make it again and take Janhvi as heroine.” Another said, “My all time favorite movie and my most most most favorite actress Srideviji…even today when I think of her I tear up. Miss her dearly 💔 …the magic she created on screen no one can even come close to.” Another comment read, “We will be waiting for such masterpiece again🫡❣️🧿.” Another user wrote, “A sequel is needed! Janhvi Kapoor on starring in Mr. India sequel
Previously, Janhvi Kapoor addressed if she would be interested in starring in the ‘Mr. India’ sequel, which notably featured her mother Sridevi.
In a new interview with Pinkvilla, Janhvi said, “Mr. India is one of the best films to have come out of Indian cinema. I don't know if a film like that should ever be remade or touched again. I don't know what the plans are for that. Again, I think the makers know best. Whoever the director would be, he will know best. Something as pure as that, you can't enforce things on that.”
She added, “Never have I been like, ‘No, I don’t want to do this film.’ I trust his judgment too much. I never reject it. But I have never put that pressure on him to have me in his film. I am his daughter first and an actress speaking to a producer, second. It’s not even in my head. As a daughter, I want him to make decisions that are best for his business model; for his movie. And I only want him to operate in that way, so I haven’t ever been, like, ‘Please take me (in your film)’.”
