New Delhi: Former talent manager of actress Deepika Padukone, who has been booked by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for procurement and possession of banned drugs, was summoned once again by the agency. She has been summoned to appear before NCB on Tuesday.


The talent manager has also appeared earlier before the NCB accompanied by her lawyer on November 4th. As per sources, back then she faced a series of tough questions by the agency. Sources said she was asked whether she was in touch with any drug peddler and consumed any banned drugs.

On October 27, Prakash's residence in Versova was searched by NCB officials following details provided by an arrested drug peddler in the case. NCB officials found 1.7 grams of Hashish and three vials of CBD oil from her residence.

According to the NCB Officials, Prakash's communication with the drug peddler indicated that she was procuring drugs. After the drugs were recovered, a summons was issued to Prakash to join the investigation but she failed to appear. Summons were sent to her parents' residence as well as her office, Kwan Talent Management, However, she did not appear.

Karishma Prakash through her lawyers moved NDPS court in Mumbai seeking anticipatory bail. On November 3, the NDPS court heard Prakash's application and gave her interim relief till Saturday when the court would decide and pass an order on her application.

Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash both denied consuming drugs then and had claimed that the drug named in the chat was the name they used for various types of 'legal cigarettes' and it had nothing to do with drugs.
