One of the much-anticipated film Bharat hit the screens on Wednesday(June 5). And the Ali Abbas Zafar's directorial venture did phenomenal on its opening day as Bhai fans thronged the theatres in large numbers on Eid.

Bharat has struck the right chord with fans, and the film earned Rs on the first day shattering many records at the box-office.

Released in 4700 screens across India, Bharat has managed to get a bumper opening of Rs 42.30 crores.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures of the Eid release. He wrote on Twitter, “#Bharat hits the ball out of the park on Day 1…Emerges Salman’s biggest #Eid opener, surpassing *Day 1* biz of #Sultan [₹ 36.54 cr]. Emerges Salman’s *biggest opener ever*, surpassing *Day 1* biz of #PremRatanDhanPayo [₹ 40.35 cr].”
He added, “#Salmania grips the nation… #Bharat storms the BO… Proves *yet again* Salman Khan is the biggest crowd puller… #Bharat opens much bigger than Salman – Ali Abbas Zafar’s #TigerZindaHai [₹ 34.10 cr] and #Sultan [₹ 36.54 cr]… Wed ₹ 42.30 cr. India biz.”
Salman Khan has always struck gold on Eid. If his 2016 film Sultan opened at Rs 36.54 crore, his 2017 film Tubelight made Rs 21.15 crore on its opening day. And Salman last Eid release Race 3, which released in 4300 screens across the country, made Rs 29.17 crore.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat depicts the journey of a nation through a common man, the film also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff and Tabu.
