New Delhi: After a strong opening day, the much-anticipated action-packed thriller ‘Baby John’, which starred Varun Dhawan, swiftly lost steam on its second day. Early figures indicate that the film made a net of over Rs 11.25 crore on Christmas Day, thanks to the enthusiastic holidaygoers. Moreover, the leading actor Varun Dhawan has received accolades for his outstanding performance.

'Baby John' Box Office Collection Day 2

On Day 2, Baby John's box office receipts see a significant drop. Early estimates from Thursday reveal that the film earned just Rs 4.5 crore, which is a substantial decrease from its opening day figures, according to Sacnilk. An occupancy percentage of only 11.09% for the Hindi version of the film suggests that audiences were not consistently interested.

The film had a strong opening weekend, but its long-term box office chances are in doubt after seeing the Day 2 numbers.

Baby John review

The ABP Live review of the film reads: "This movie is a remake of the 2016 Tamil film Theri, but it doesn’t come close to the original. In ‘Baby John’, Varun Dhawan feels more like “Baby” than “John.” One of Varun’s lines in the film says – “Many like me have come before, but I’m here for the first time.” Unfortunately, that’s not true."
