New Delhi: ‘Baby John’, starring Varun Dhawan, is a mass actioner that hits theatres on the day of Christmas, December 25. The film features Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff and Keerthy Suresh. The overall number of tickets sold for the movie is getting closer to 50,000, but as of right now, just 44,782 have been sold. The film has made around Rs 2.05 crore so far, according to the box office monitoring website Sacnilk.
There are a total of 6,150 shows of the film, with 1,256 shows in Gujarat being the most. There are now 833 shows scheduled in Delhi and 1,148 in Maharashtra.
Right now, the best-performing market is Maharashtra, where pre-sales account for about 19% of the total. Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana, and Karnataka are some more significant circuits.
'Pushpa 2: The Rule' will be a tough competitor of 'Baby John', as it continues to do well at the Hindi box office. With domestic net receipts topping Rs 700 crore in the Hindi language alone, the pan-India sequel, which stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, has now surpassed all previous records for highest earning Hindi films.
‘Baby John’ is currently not projected to be among the top five films with the biggest 2024 advance ticket sales. In order to place in the top five, Kalees-directorial must make at least Rs 25 crore in advance sales, which the film now seems unable to do.
