New Delhi: After reporting COVID-19 positive on July 29 and completing two weeks under quarantine, 'Baahubali' director SS Rajamouli and his family showed no symptoms of the novel Coronavirus infection and tested COVID-19 negative on Wednesday, August 12.

In a Twitter update today, the 46-year-old director announced about the positive development and said, "Completed 2 weeks of quarantine! No symptoms. Tested just for the sake of it... It is negative for all of us..."

He also mentioned that the doctors have advised the family to wait for three weeks to check if they can donate plasma. "Doctor said we need to wait 3 weeks from now to see if we've developed enough antibodies for plasma donation!" the filmmaker Tweeted.

On July 29, ‘Baahuabli’ fame director said that he and his family members developed mild fever a few days back. Although, their fever subsided by itself, they decided to undergo a Coronavirus test and the results came out as positive.

On the professional front, SS Rajamouli will soon resume shoot for his upcoming film ‘RRR’. The epic drama stars Junior NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn will be seen in a special appearance in the much-awaited flick, which is slated to hit the silver screens on January 8, 2020. After wrapping up ‘RRR’, Rajamouli will team up with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu for a yet-to-be titled movie.

Earlier this month, another Telugu filmmaker Teja tested Coronavirus positive just a few days after Rajamouli contracted the virus. Teja, who debuted as a cinematographer with Ram Gopal Varma's ‘Raat’, is currently observing home quarantine and taking all the necessary precautions.
