Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting his much-awaited film ‘Atrangi Re’, which will premiere directly on a leading OTT platform. Akshay will be seen sharing screen-space with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush in the musical romantic drama. Movie buffs are quite excited for the flick as it will feature Dhanush and Akshay in a different avatar.
Khiladi Kumar posted a happy photo with his co-star Dhanush wherein they can be seen flashing their million-dollar smiles while striking a pose for the camera. The ‘Bell Bottom’ actor shared details about their conversation while sharing the selfie on his official Instagram handle.
“Today my #AtrangiRe co-star @dhanushkraja came calling. ‘Sir, I always look up to you,’ he said. I replied, ‘I look up to your amazing talent.’ Then we both looked up. And this happened,” Akshay wrote.
Kartik Aaryan, Huma Qureshi, Kiara Advani and other tinsel town celebs liked the post. The selfie has received over 7 lakh likes within one hour. Fans have also flooded the comments section with their message. One user wrote, "Two superstars in one frame" while another commented, "Talented artists."
South star Dhanush, who is essaying the role of Vishu, also shared the same selfie on Instagram. He thanked Akshay Kumar for taking up the character of Sajjad Ali. The 'Raanjhaana' star said that he had an amazing experience while working with Akki.
"Thanks for being a part of atrangire sir. Had a blast working with you," Dhanush wrote.
Earlier in the day, Akshay shared a post to inform fans that the makers used an animated teaser for the song 'Garda Udaa Diya'. "#Garda udaa diya…ab hosh udaane ka time! We’ve made #AtrangiRe with lots of passion for filmmaking. Hope you give your love to all of us, including the animated elephant in the teaser. Streaming from 24th Dec on @disneyplushotstar," he wrote.
'Atrangi Re', which also stars Sara Ali Khan, will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on December 24, 2021. It was originally slated to hit the silver screens in August; however, it got delayed due to COVID-19 crisis.
