Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoo, who is getting good reviews for his performance in the recently released film 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu', will soon start shooting for his next film 'Arjun Reddy' hindi remake. The versatile actor was all set to romance Tara Sutaria in the film but the  'Student of the Year 2' actress opted out of 'Arjun Reddy' hindi remake due to shift in the release of her debut film opposite Tiger Shroff. Now the latest reports suggest that, makers have roped in Kiara Advani for the film after Tara's exit.

Speaking about the same, a source close to the film unit told Deccan Chronicle that, “When the film’s director Sandeep Vanga approached her for the role, Kiara instantly jumped on the bandwagon! The actress is all kicked to play the part, and will join the sets of the film soon.

However, neither the actors nor the makers have reacted on the same yet.

'Arjun Reddy' was originally made in Telugu and is considered as one of the path-breaking films in Tollywood. The Telugu film was written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and he is helming the hindi remake too. Shahid Kapoor, who recently became a father for the second time and recently welcomed baby boy Zain Kapoor into his family, has grown a full-beard for his role in the hindi remake of 'Arjun Reddy.

Shahid Kapoor will be stepping into actor Vijay Deverakonda’s shoes in the remake which is expected to go on the floors soon and will the screens next year on 21st June.

For the uninitiated, 'Arjun Reddy' is also being remade in Tamil titled 'Varma' which will mark the debut of Vikram’s son Dhruv in films.

On the career front, Shahid's latest release 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' failed to get a good opening and couldn't register a good jump in first weekend. Also, he recently announced another film which is a biopic based on boxer Dingko Singh's life. To be directed by 'Airlift' director Raja Krishna Menon, the film will go on floors next year.
