Anushka Sharma lands in soup after neighbour files complaint with BMC
NEW DELHI: The bubbly girl of Bollywood Anushka Sharma who mostly stays away from controversies seems to have landed in soup. While all was hunky dory after her last release 'Phillauri', a neighbour has filed a complaint with BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) against the actress.
Anushka who owns the entire 20th floor of Badrinath Tower in Versova has been accused of illegally installing an electric junction box on the floor passageway. Former secretary of building, Sunil Batra in his complaint mentioned that the Bollywood actress has flouted several other rules of the society as well. After the site visit, BMC officials have issued a notice against the 'Phillauri' actress.

On the other hand, Anushka's spokesperson has refuted the allegations, calling them 'baseless'. "The actress owns three flats on the 20th floor, and all permissions since 2013 are in place. Anushka and her family are law abiding and responsible citizens and wouldn't do anything to inconvenience or harm anyone," the spokesperson told Mumbai Mirror.
Well, there is a twist in the story, a resident of the same building accuses Batra of having grudges against Anushka and family, hence he was targeting her publicly. "This particular individual claiming that the construction is illegal, himself has multiple illegal parking spaces, apart from other illegal constructions in and around his house."He wants to take his personal vendetta into public domain by throwing around a celebrity's name, such as Anushka's, as she is a public figure," claimed the resident.
