Couple of film fraternity members have been calling out Kangana Ranaut on Twitter ever since the actress’ recent interview with Republic TV. She referred Taapsee and Swara as ‘B grade actresses’ and ‘needy outsiders’ who will come out in support of Karan Johar.
She also called out Bollywood biggies including Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Javed Akhtar for their dissimulating turn of mind. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also shared his views on the ongoing debate of ‘nepotism’ and revealed how he used to be friends with Kangana but is unaware of her ‘new avatar’.

In his recent interview with NDTV, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ director disclosed the fact recalling an incident where he tried playing the role of a peacemaker between Taapsee and Kangana.
He said, “Taapsee is also a friend and I said that two friends are there and why are they saying things to each other... I called her (Kangana) and asked her and she put the whole conversation on social media and I was just there like a friend trying to sort things out.”
During one of the promotional interviews of ‘Manmarziyaan’ in 2018, Kashyap and Pannu shared a hearty laugh in a question related to Ranaut. It appears that the ‘Panga’ actress felt bad about it and her relationship with both of them embittered post that. ‘Kangana was hurt. "I am saying okay, if you are hurt by that, I will apologize for that. That's what friends do. But she has gone on to a mode where 'If you're not with me you're my enemy’,” said the filmmaker.
Anurag Kashyap has also been involved in a wrangled discourse with Ranvir Shorey recently.
