Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, some of his family members tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) around the same time when veteran actress Rekha's bungalow security guard tested positive for Covid-19. In the 70s, Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha's alleged love affair used to hit the headline and found its way to the cover stories of most magazines.
Sadly, some people on social media thought it was okay to make memes about it amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Some Twitter users also made Rekha one of the top trends on Twitter after the news of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan testing COVID-19 positive broke out.
Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope earlier today took to social media to confirm that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan have also tested positive for COVID19. Jaya Bachchan has tested negative.
"T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!" @SrBachchan wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
Soon after Bachchan's tweet, his son Abhishek Bachchan had tweeted to confirm that he too had tested Covid positive.
"Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for Covid-19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you," Abhishek, 44, had tweeted on his verified account, @juniorbachchan.
