New Delhi: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bachchan are celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary on Wednesday (June 3). The couple, who has worked in films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gam’ and ‘Silsila’, got married on June 3, 1973. Big B took to social media to share a collage of his wedding photos, revealing a secret to his fans.
“47 years .. today .. June 3, 1973 .. !! Had decided if Zanjeer would succeed, we would along with a few friends go to London for the first time .. My Father asked who you going with ? When i told him who , he said you must marry her before you go .. else you don’t go .. So .. I obeyed .. !!,” senior Bachchan captioned his post.

Several tinsel town celebs including Bhumi Pednekar, Shilpa Shetty and Bipasha Basu dropped comments on the post.
Bipasha wrote, "Favourite couple ❤️Happy anniversary. Onek bhalobasha," while Shilpa commented, "Happy Anniversary dearest @amitabhbachchan ji and Jaya Aunty , wishing you many more years of happiness, love and friendship ."
