Alia Bhatt Shares Behind-The-Scenes Clip Of Her Met Gala Debut

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt offered a sneak peek of the big day on Friday as she got ready to make her Met Gala debut. The actor shared a behind-the-scenes video from New York on Instagram Reels in which she tried on her dress and had her makeup done.
Alia first appears in the video wearing a white Prabal Gurung dress with a long train and lots of pearl beads.
“Cool, can somebody like lift me up now, and place me on the (Met Gala) carpet from here?,” she quips in the video. During the Met Gala 2023 preparations captured on camera, Alia said as she sat in her makeup chair,"When you talk about one of the major events in the year globally, the first that comes to mind is the Met Gala. It is very exciting, but I will definitely tell you that when I am stepping out of that sprinter van, I am going to feel like a little wobble in my knees. It is not going to be really nice because I have a very big dress, and very high shoes."

Alia is then seen attempting to handle her clothing as she enters a lift with Prabal and the rest of her team. As Alia left her hotel to attend the Met Gala 2023, she waved to fans and posed for a few photos with singer Rita Ora and Prabal.
Earlier, sharing a bunch of pictures from the event, Alia had written on Instagram, "I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met..."
