The cast and crew commenced the shoot of the film in March 2020. Last year, the team resumed the shooting in Madhurai in October, seven months after the shoot was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Fans are quite excited to Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan in a project. The pictures of the two tinsel celebs from the sets created lot of buzz on social media.
South star Dhanush, who worked with Aanand L Rai in ‘Raanjhanaa’, will be seen as Deepak Kumar Dubay in ‘Atrangi Re’. Sara Ali Khan is rumoured to be his playing his on-screen wife.
‘AtrangiRe’ was originally slated to hit the cinema halls on February 14, 2021. However, the film’s release got delayed as the makers couldn’t complete the shoot on time due to the COVID-19 crisis. The Aanand L Rai directorial has been produced by T-Series, Cape of Good Films and Colour Yellow Productions.
YRF’s ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ is also for a theatrical release in August 2021. The film starring Ranveer Singh will entertain the audience from August 27.
