New Delhi: 'Drishyam 2', starring Ajay Devgn, has accomplished yet another outstanding feat. The crime-drama is now the third Bollywood movie this year to gross Rs 300 crores. The film's position as a superhit has been further reinforced after crossing Rs 300 crores mark on Tuesday in worldwide gross profits.


According to trade reports, in terms of highest-grossing Hindi films of 2022, 'Drishyam 2' is presently in third place with gross worldwide profits of Rs 303 crore, behind 'Brahmastra' (which earned 431 crore) and 'The Kashmir Files' (which earned 341 crore).


The majority of 'Drishyam 2's earnings have come from India; just 52 crore have been made abroad. Weeks after its premiere, the movie kept raking in the revenue, breaking multiple records during its fourth and fifth weeks.


Recently, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office figures on Twitter. The Ajay Devgn-starrer has minted Rs Rs 212.93 crores in the domestic market.

'Drishyam 2' has also managed to surpass Kartik Aaryan starrer 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2's lifetime collection and is currently the third-highest grossing Hindi film of the year. 


Director Abhishek Pathak's debut film, 'Drishyam 2', features Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta. One of the most successful movies of the year, the movie is a sequel to the 2015 smash-hit 'Drishyam' and a remake of the Malayalam film of the same name.
