New Delhi: The year 2020 is turning out to be a doom’s year for the Entertainment industry. The tinsel town has lost many legendary artists in this fateful year. Not only this, the megastar Amitabh Bachchan also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus along with Abhishek, Aishwarya and Aaradhya Bachchan. Fortunately, they all are now healthy and have tested negative for coronavirus. It is now ‘Drishyam’ director Nishikant Kamat who has been hospitalised in a critical condition in a hospital in Hyderabad.

According to a report in SpotboyE, the filmmaker is said to have suffered from liver cirrhosis in the past. Reportedly, the liver cirrhosis has now relapsed and Nishikant has been admitted in a hospital and his condition is said to be critical currently.

The filmmaker also acted in the Marathi films like ‘Saatchya Aat Gharat’. He made his directorial debut with the Marathi movie ‘Dombivali Fast’ in 2005 which went to become the biggest Marathi film of that year. The movies also bagged the ‘National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi’ in 2006.

‘Drishyam’ is one of the most critically acclaimed movies of Bollywood starring Ajay Devgan and Tabu in the lead roles. A few days back, Tabu took to her social media celebrating five years of ‘Drishyam’. ‘The Namesake’ actress wrote, “five years!!! @ajaydevgn @viacom18studios @shriya_saran1109”



Nishikant Kamat was also seen portraying a negative role in John Abraham starrer movie ‘Rocky Handsome’. His upcoming movie ‘Darbadar’ is expected to release by 2022.
