After Vinta Nanda, Hum Saath Saath Hain crew member accuses Alok Nath of sexual harassment

New Delhi: With every passing hour, #Metoo movement is gaining momentum. Women from glamour and media industry are speaking up against the predator of the industry. Among the ones who have been accused of sexual harassment is popular television and film personality Alok Nath, fondly known as sanskari babuji. Writer-Producer Vinta Nanda’s post revealed the horrifying incident. She revealed that a lead actor from one of her popular shows raped her almost two decades ago. Later on she confirmed that it was  Alok Nath who abused her sexually.



Well, now another person has accused Alok Nath of Sexual Harassment. A crew member from ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ who did not wish to be named, narrated the horrific incident to Mid-Day. She revealed, “We were shooting for a night scene and I had taken a change of costumes to him. Once I handed him the clothes, he started stripping in front of me. I was taken aback, and tried to make my way out of the room as soon as possible. When I tried to run out, he grabbed my hand and manhandled me. I remember yanking my hand out of his grip and rushing out of the room.”



She also revealed that she could not report Alok Nath’s misconduct to Sooraj Barjatya as he was close to him. She further said, “I don't actively do movies anymore. The course of my career changed [after this episode]. I am glad CINTAA is taking action against him. I salute Vinta's courage; I wish I could show the same courage, but life has come way past it and I can't put my family through this.”
