New Delhi: ‘Jawan’, featuring the stellar trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi, made a grand opening in theatres yesterday. Directed by Atlee, the film made an amazing impact at the box office on the first day of its release. It boasts a formidable female ensemble, including talents like Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and others. Ridhi Dogra takes on the role of Kaveri Amma, Shah Rukh's adoptive mother. As much as her character is being loved amongst the netizens, her character has also ignited a Twitter meme frenzy.
Interestingly, Ridhi Dogra's portrayal of Kaveri Amma in ‘Jawan’ led fans to draw parallels with the same character's name in Shah Rukh's 2004 film Swades, where Kaveri Amma was portrayed by veteran actress Kishori Ballal. One witty Twitter user even created a side-splitting meme comparing the two Kaveri Ammas.
Responding to the meme, Ridhi Dogra playfully chimed in with a hearty "Hahahahaaha, stop it guys" accompanied by a chorus of laughing emojis.
Meanwhile, another Twitter user directed a light-hearted query to Atlee, saying, "@iRidhiDogra @Atlee_dir Atlee sir, why did you make my crush Kaveri Amma...?" to which Ridhi responded with a chuckling emoji.
A curious netizen asked, "You are Kaveri Amma at age 38, but I have a doubt about your age, can you clarify?" Ridhi delivered a humorous twist and replied, "I'm 15."
Yet another fan showered affection, exclaiming, "Love you, Kaveri Amma," to which Ridhi cheekily retorted, "Lol. No thanks, beta."
Furthermore, following the film's theatrical release, Ridhi Dogra posted a heartfelt picture with director Atlee, expressing her gratitude for the incredible experience of working with him and eagerly awaiting the world's response to ‘jawan’.
