Aditi Govitrikar's Sister Arzoo Files For Divorce From Husband: 'I Suffered Blackouts Due To Domestic Violence'

Arzoo Govitrikar accused her husband Siddharth Sabharwal of domestic violence and infidelity.

Mumbai: Aditi Govitrikar's sister Arzoo Govitrikar, who earlier accused her husband Siddharth Sabharwal of domestic violence, has filed for a divorce from him. The ‘Bagbhan’ actress levelled serious allegations against her husband and said that she won’t reconcile with him.  

Arzoo, while talking to a leading daily, said that Siddharth tried to throw her out of their flat and even kicked her in stomach She claimed that she couldn’t come out of her house as she didn’t wish to show her bruises to others.

Arzoo, who had filed a domestic violence case against Siddharth in 2019, alleged that he hurled casteist abuses at her. 

"Mujhe bahut gandi gaaliyan deta tha. Imagine, he even hurled casteist abuses at me. He also told me that I am a bai (maid)," the ‘Naagin 2’ actress told Times Of India.  

Arzoo further told the daily that her husband had first raised his hand on her two years after they got married. She said that he ‘simply drifted apart’ after the birth of their son and started sleeping in a different room.  

She accused him of having an extra-marital affair with a Russian girl. The ‘Mere Baap Phele Aap’ actress said that she doesn’t know if they are still together as he is living separately.  

Arzoo claimed that she has chats and CCTV footage to back her claims. She said that she has enough evidence to justify why she filed for a divorce. The actress accused her husband of becoming ‘more aggressive’ after she suggested him to work on their marriage. 

Siddarth refused to comment on the allegations, stating that the matter is under subjudice. 

On the professional front, Arzoo was last seen as Manjusha in 'Naagin 2'. The show starred Mouni Roy, Karanvir Bohra and Adaa Khan in lead roles. 

On a related note, Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar has also filed a domestic violence case against the rapper at Delhi’s Tiz Hazari Court. She accused him of ‘mercilessly beating her’, having casual sex with multiple women and indulging in extra-marital affair. 

Nisha Rawal had also accused popular TV actor Karan Mehra of domestic violence and infidelity.
