‘Made In Heaven’ Actor Vijay Raaz Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Woman Crew Member

New Delhi: Popular for his comic role in the 2004 movie ‘Run’, actor Vijay Raaz has been reportedly arrested from Gondia yesterday for allegedly molesting a woman crew member and a case has been registered against the ‘Welcome’ actor.  ALSO READ | Karnataka High Court Rejects Actors' Bail Plea In Sandalwood Drugs Case According to a report of ANI, Atul Kulkarni, Additional SP, Gondia, Maharashtra told the agency, “Actor Vijay Raaz was arrested from Gondia yesterday allegedly for molesting a woman crew member. A case has been registered.”

Born in Delhi, Vijay Raaz started his career with a small but impactful role in Ram Gopal Varma’s 2000 movie ‘Jungle’ starring Suniel Shetty, Fardeen Khan and Urmila Matondkar in the lead roles. After Naseeruddin Shah saw him perform at the National School of Drama (NSD), the ‘A Wednesday’ actor recommended Raaz to Mahesh Bhatt for ‘Bhopal Express’ and to Mira Nair for ‘Monsoon Wedding’. ‘Monsoon Wedding’ proved to be a successful film and Vijay started getting many roles post that. Vijay Raaz’s first lead role was in the 2003 movie ‘Raghu Romeo’ where he portrayed the life of a confused lower-class Indian fellow. The ‘Gully Boy’ actor also debuted as a director with the 2014 movie ‘Kya Dilli Kya Lahore’ which is a war film set in the backdrop of 1948, post India’s Independence war. Apart from the director himself, this film also stars Manu Rishi, Raj Zutshi and Vishwajeet Pradhan in pivotal roles. Raaz is also a Voice Over artist and has lent his voice to various films and commercials. On the professional front, the actor will be next seen starring in Manoj Bajpayee and Diljit Dosanjh’s upcoming movie ‘Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’ and also in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role.
