'The Big Bull' Actress Nikita Dutta Tests Positive For COVID A Day Ahead Of The Movie's Release

Nikita Dutta, who will be seen as Abhishek Bachchan's on-screen wife in 'The Big Bull', has tested positive for COVID-19.

Abhishek Bachchan starrer ‘The Big Bull’ is all set to premiere directly on Disney+ Hotstar on Thursday (April 8). Movie buffs are eagerly waiting for the release of the much-awaited flick on the leading platform. Nikita Dutta, who plays a key role in ‘The Big Bull’, has tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the film’s release.

Nikita’s publicist, while talking to ABP News, confirmed that the actress has normal symptoms of COVID-19 and is getting better. The Bengali beauty, who is observing home quarantine, is following all the necessary protocols after testing positive for the virus.

Nikita contracted the virus while shooting for the film ‘Rocket Gang’. The movie also stars Aditya Seal, who is fondly known for his roles in ‘Student of the Year 2’, and ‘Indoo Ki Jawani’. Choreographer Bosco is making his debut as a director with ‘Rocket Gang’.

The talented actress issued a statement and revealed that she is in complete isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

"I am actually feeling pretty good. Nevertheless, I am in complete isolation. Currently using technology to the best of use. Have been doing all my interviews via zoom calls or phone calls. Since I tested positive, I couldn't be a part of the promotions offline but it's fine. My friends and family have kept me sane and in high spirits. The Big Bull is releasing tomorrow and I did my little happy dance for it today. It's one movie that has garnered such immense interest in recent times. I miss all my co-stars and the crew. So wish to meet them soon. It's just a day now and I need all the love and prayers more for the movie and less for my recovery since I have recovered pretty much and doing the time currently. I promise that The Big Bull is wholesome entertainment and people would enjoy it," the actress said in her statement.

Talking about ‘The Big Bull’, the crime drama is based on the life of stockbroker Harshad Mehta, who was involved in several financial crimes. While Abhishek Bachchan is playing the lead role, Nikita Dutta is essaying the role of his on-screen wife.

Nikita made her Bollywood debut with ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’ in 2014. She has also worked in films ‘Maska’ and ‘Kabir Singh’.

Nikita has featured in popular TV shows like ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Ek Duje Ke Vaaste’, ‘Haasil’, ‘Laal Ishq’ and ‘Ek Ladki Deewani Si’.
