Famous Malayalam actor Prabeesh Chakkalakkal collapsed on sets during the film shoot and died in Kerala's Kochi on Monday. The 44-year-old actor who also worked as a popular dubbing artist was reportedly shooting for a YouTube channel Cochin College when he suddenly collapsed on the sets and died. The film being shot on the day was about waste management in the state. The telefilm showed waste being disposed of at the Kundannoor Bund Road in Kochi. Prabeesh was playing the role of a foreign national who reacts to the sight.

A report by Samakalika Malayalam stated that after he finished his part of the shoot and took a group photo with his coworkers the actor felt unwell. He even asked for water as he felt his tongue was drying. He drank water and soon collapsed on the sets

The report further mentioned the coworkers alleging that the actor’s colleagues tried to take him to a hospital but could not arrange for a vehicle in time. By the time they could reach a hospital, Prabeesh breathed his last.

The actor was famous for his many roles in telefilms. He had worked as a dubbing artiste in many popular Malayalam films. Prabeesh was recently seen playing the role of Mahabali in an Onam show for the Cochin Collage channel. Prabeesh was also a member of the Christian Service Society (CSS) state committee.

The late actor is survived by his father Joseph, wife Jansy, and child Taniya. According to the reports, Prabeesh will be buried at the Maradu Moothedam church.
