New Delhi: Vidhu Vinod Chopra's latest directorial venture, '12th Fail', has emerged as a box office sensation. The film has raked in a commendable net earnings figure of 2.50 crores on Day 2 with a total of Rs 3.60 crores net firmly establishing itself as a cinematic powerhouse. The audience response to the Vikrant Massey film has been quite positive. The film was released on 600 screens with 2300 shows, however, the number has increased many folds in the first two days due to unprecedented response and word of mouth. 


Starring talented Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar, '12th Fail' has demonstrated an extraordinary growth rate, boasting a jaw-dropping 134% surge in its box office collections. This surge has left industry insiders and fans alike in awe of the movie's profound impact.


Notably, regional audiences have wholeheartedly embraced ‘12th Fail’. The Delhi and Punjab circuits witnessed a sensational 150% growth, highlighting the film's special connection with North Indian viewers. In Mumbai, the movie's appeal was equally magnetic, achieving an impressive 100% growth.


Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the official collection of the film and wrote, "A GOOD FILM FINDS ITS AUDIENCE… #12thFail takes a big lead on Day 2… A jump was on the cards, but the 127.27% GROWTH in *post-pandemic* era + pre-#Diwali phase [when biz, generally, slides downwards] is FANTASTIC… Fri 1.10 cr, Sat 2.50 cr. Total: ₹ 3.60 cr. #India biz. #Mumbai, #Delhi and parts of #Punjab jumped over 100% on Day 2."






Based on a true incident, '12th Fail' takes inspiration from the experiences of the millions of students who take the UPSC entrance test each year. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film hit the theatres on 27th October in  Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada.
