New Delhi: Television actress Debina Bonnerjee and her husband, Gurmeet Choudhary are ready to embark on their maiden journey as parents after 10 years of marriage.
Debina recently released a video and delivered a scathing warning to trolls who are known for asking improper questions to women about pregnancy. She also shared her thoughts on how such questions might have an impact on women’s mental health.
According to Debina, it is horrible to ask women questions without first knowing how it might influence their mental health and what they are going through. ‘When are they going to have kids?’ and ‘why don't they want kids?’ must be horrifying for a woman who is suffering from bodily and emotional pain, says Debina.
Debina clarified that a woman who has not yet conceived may have her own set of reasons, which she articulated to the audience. It might be anything; she must be battling her own issues, whether they be physical or emotional; it may not be her fault, but something is just not taking place.
At the end of her video, she delivered a powerful message, emphasising the need of showing respect and providing a pregnant lady the space she requires. She emphasises that being pregnant is unquestionably one of the most precious gifts in the world, as is becoming a mother and embracing parenthood, but that at the same time, this question may both bring you pleasure and give you grief.
Pregnant women need respect and a safe place to express themselves. What are your thoughts?
