Song Joong-ki and his wife Katy Louise Saunders have had their second child, a daughter. The 38-year-old ‘Vincenzo’ actor announced the good news to fans with an emotional press release and a glimpse of their child. The couple, who had their first baby last year, is currently in Rome.
In a fan café post, Song Joong-ki expressed his happiness and thanks, announcing that both his wife and newborn daughter are doing well. He stated, “I am in Rome now. It's been over a year since I met my first child here. I'm incredibly grateful to announce that we've been blessed with another beautiful baby. Our lovely princess was born healthy, and both my wife and our baby are doing well and resting.”
The actor, who married British actress Katy Louise Saunders in January 2023, also used the occasion to reassure his fans. "I'll take good care of my family here and return to the set soon. Wishing you a warm and happy year-end. Love you all," he said.
Song Joong-ki's agency, HighZium Studio, reported in July that the couple was expecting their second child. Today, the agency published a statement congratulating the birth of their baby daughter, adding, “Song Joong Ki welcomed a baby girl to the world today. He is thankful to everyone who is sending him congratulatory messages, please send him your blessings and lots of support.”

Song Joong-ki had a busy year on the work front, appearing in two films: ‘Bogota: City of the Lost’ and ‘My Name is Loh Kiwan’. Meanwhile, the actor will co-star alongside Chun Woo Hee in the romantic K-drama ‘My Youth’.
Additionally, he made a brief appearance in the Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won TV drama 'Queen of Tears', reprising his role as Vincenzo Cassano.
