Met Gala 2024: South Korean boy band Stray Kids made a stunning debut as Tommy and Dee Hilfiger ambassadors at the 2024 Met Gala. Along with BLACKPINK singer Jennie, who also marked her presence at the fashion’s biggest event, the group took over the green-carpet.
While fans across the globe praised their good looks as the K-pop idols marked their attendance at the event, many others shared videos in which they said the group was the target of "racist" comments made by Met Gala paparazzi.
Stray Kids, the eight-member group—Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Han, Hyunjin, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N.—made history as the first K-pop group to be invited to attend the Met Gala. "This is their first time. They are professionals but they are also humans. Can't you see how excited they are? Still they didn't do anything unprofessional, did they? They were probably told to be serious by their mentors. You'd be surprised to see how friendly they normally are," another wrote.
