New Delhi: The 2023 Ministry of National Defence has named RM of BTS an official Public Relations Ambassador. On May 31, BIGHIT Music announced that RM will be selected as the public relations ambassador of MAKRI the following day, on June 1 KST. The mission of MAKRI is to bring home the remains of Korean War soldiers to their loved ones. RM will act as the organization's public relations ambassador, advocating on its behalf and highlighting its initiatives. 


BTS leader RM has taken up a new and honourable role as the public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Korea. On June 1 a ceremony was held to bestow the honour on the BTS member. 


RM aka Kim Nam-Joon attended the event and prepared for the part with a black suit and tie, white dress shirt, and nicely combed hair.


ARMY, the name given to BTS's devoted fanbase, headed to Twitter to express their support for RM when he was named the public relations ambassador for the Ministry of National Defense's excavation team.


















The Korean boyband BTS is comprised of RM, Jin, SUGA, J-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. In December of last year, BTS' eldest member Jin enlisted in the military. All of the other members are expected to enlist and serve in the military for a period of 18 months. Following their service commitment, BTS members will reunite as a group in 2025, according to a statement from BigHit Music, their management company.
