New Delhi: The internet was blown away by reports of BTS member Kim Taehyung, also known as V, and BLACKPINK's Jennie's relationship. Their record labels, YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music, never responded to questions about their relationship.
The two have allegedly broken up, according to a JTBC report from Wednesday, months after they were spotted together in Paris as claimed by a French paparazzi.
On many occasions, the two have been spotted together at the same time. They have been linked to one another for a long time.
Just after Jennie, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo of BLACKPINK legally extended their contract with YG Entertainment, the news of their breakup broke. Rumors of a probable separation and perhaps their exit from the agency surfaced due to their upcoming contract renewal.
In a statement, YG Entertainment announced, "We are pleased to announce that our board of directors has successfully come to an agreement on the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our talented artists."
“BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine more brightly in the world music market as an artist representing K-POP, and we will continue to give their unwavering support and faith in their actions,” it added.
However, Kim Taehyung is scheduled to enlist in the military this month. Jimin, RM, Jungkook, and others will accompany him according to their schedules.
Meanwhile, the trailer for the upcoming documentary series BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, which follows the life of South Korean boy band Bangtan Soneyondan, has been released. Fans will be able to follow the seven members of the group—Jin, Jimin, Taehyung, J-Hope, RM, Suga, and Jungkook—as they navigate the highs and lows of their ten-year career through an OTT streaming experience that is set to launch soon.
