New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan are currently courting controversy over their upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' which is slated to release on August 11, 2022. Many social media trends with 'Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' have been headlining news since last month. Now, Kareena has addressed rumours around her demanding Rs. 12 crore for her upcoming film 'Sita: The Incarnation'.
Reportedly, Kareena is said to have hiked her fees last year for 'Sita'. Since the film is said to be a big-event film, Kareena is reported to have asked the said amount. "I never gave an explanation because I was never offered that. I don't even know why I was put into that because I wasn't the choice for the film. These all are made-up stories and I don't want to put anybody down because even they need stories. Every day people are looking for some sort of stories on Instagram but I don't know from where it came," she was quoted as saying by the publication.
In the same interview with Rudrani Chattoraj, Kareena also praised actors from the South film industries like Prabhas and Dhanush.
Kareena also spoke about her character Rupa from 'Laal SIngh Chaddha' and said that audiences have not seen her play that kind of character graph before. Kareena also stated that the story is very 'emotionally heart wrenching' and that there 'won't be single person who won't shed a tear' after watching 'Laal Singh Chaddha'.
In the same interview, Kareena also pointed out how trolling does not bother her so much as post-pandemic most people are just frustrated. Everyone wants a space to let out their emotions and everyone has a right to do so as long as they feel they have let it out.
