New Delhi: Mumbai Police has summoned Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel to be present before it on November 10.

The summons pertain to an FIR registered against them after court orders on allegations that they tried to create a divide between communities through social media posts.

Recently a Mumbai court had asked the police to begin an inquiry against Ranaut and her sister for allegedly posting "hateful" and "derogatory" statements against a particular community on social media.

What was the controversial post of Kangana Ranaut & Rangoli?

As per the complaint, Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel had posted a hate speech on Twitter in April targeting a particular community, following which her account on the micro-blogging site was suspended.

Kangana later had later posted a video in support of her sister over her controversial tweets.

As per the complaint, Kangana had released the video on various social media platforms calling a sect of a particular community as terrorist.

Thus both Kangana and Rangoli were roped in the complaint.
