The news of Bollywood's iconic superstar Amitabh Bachchan and three of his family members testing positive for COVID-19 has left the tinsel town and most of the nation in a state of shock. The highly popular and celebrated Bollywood legend was quite active in spreading awareness about the coronavirus pandemic by associating himself as part of a number of campaigns. As per latest reports, Bachchan is currently undergoing treatment at the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai and his condition is pretty stable.

'Big B' took to Twitter and opened up about him testing positive with Covid-19. He also appealed to all those who were in contact with him to get themselves tested "T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !" he had written on Twitter.




While, the highly revered and loved Bollywood clan has been poured in with wishes from all around the world after them testing Covid19 positive, World Wrestling Entertaiment (WWE) superstar John Cena, who is also a noted actor, also took to social media to send over his wishes to the Bachchan family. Cena shared a post featuring Amitabh and Abhishek, but did not caption the post.

Abhishek Bachchan, his son, also tested positive for the infection on Saturday. He is admitted to the hospital. On Sunday, Abhishek announced that his wife, Aishwarya, and daughter, Aaradhya, have also tested positive.

“Aishwarya and Aaradhya have also tested COVID-19 positive. They will be self quarantining at home. The BMC has been updated of their situation and are doing the needful.The rest of the family including my Mother have tested negative. Thank you all for your wishes and prayers,” he wrote on Twitter.

Cena who has a wide fan base in India, has been known to connect well with the Indian B'town celebrities, often sharing posts featuring them on his social media handle. Last month, the highly popular wrestler shared the photo of Sushant Singh Rajput to pay his tributes to the late actor. In May, he had also shared a post featuring late actors, Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the multi-time World WWE and heavyweight champion has been away from in-ring action for over three months.Cen last hit the ring when he competed against Bray Wyatt at Wrestlemania 36. Prior to that, he had competed in January 2019.
