New Delhi: Hollywood actor Will Smith shared his spiritual journey in an interview. During a Big Time Podcast interview with Egyptian journalist Amr Adeeb, he expressed his admiration for the Quran and how it has impacted his life. In the past few years, Will claimed to have "read all holy books," and this year during Ramadan, he "read the Quran cover to cover."

The interview was conducted in December 2023 and is currently being widely circulated online. Will Smith said, "You know the last two years of my life have been a difficult time and my attention turned inward. And I was just talking to someone earlier about how I read all the holy books."

"I read the Quran. I read the Quran cover to cover during Ramadan this year (2023). This is the spiritual-seeking phase of my life. This is the period of my life that I am trying to cultivate as wide, open and loving a heart as I will be able to." The actor also said, “I love the simplicity of the Quran. It's so clear. It's crystal clear,” he added.

Will Smith Oscargate

After Will Smith and Chris Rock's heated fight on March 27, 2022, the Oscars took a dramatic turn. As soon as Chris joked about Jada Pinkett Smith and her buzz cut, Will stormed on to the Oscars stage and gave him a slap across the face. Will felt that the actor's medical condition was being used as a joke, as the actor has been open about her alopecia and hair loss. Jada supported Will after he faced backlash for slapping Chris Rock during the 2022 Oscars.

Jada disclosed that she and Will have "been living separate lives" for the past seven years even though they haven't been divorced at an NBC News special in October 2023. She clarified that they were trying to figure out where they were as partners, which is why neither of them had disclosed their breakup to the public until now. Will, Jada, and their kids, Jaden and Willow Smith, have all been to several red carpet events since 2016.
