New Delhi: The reports that her father, Scott Swift, allegedly attacked a photographer on Sydney's North Shore on Tuesday, February 27, have been addressed by Taylor Swift's team. Shortly after Swift's performance in the Australian city, the incident occurred.

Swift's crew has now claimed through a spokesman that the photographer behaved in a “aggressive” manner towards the celebrity and her group.

“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” Swift’s representative told The Mirror.

In a statement, officials from the North Shore Police Area Command verified the occurrence. They would not, however, reveal who was involved.

They declared that they were looking into an "alleged assault at Neutral Bay Wharf, where a 71-year-old man is accused of assaulting a 51-year-old man,”  around 2.30 am local time.

“The younger man reported the incident and inquiries are now underway by officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command. The man did not require medical treatment,” the statement read.

Later, Australia's Sky News revealed that Scott was one of the participants in the altercation. Ben McDonald, the CEO of Matrix Media Group, was named as the photographer. It was said that McDonald was shooting pictures of Swift when she and Scott disembarked off a yacht at Neutral Bay. According to ABC, Swift and her father had gotten into a waiting car when the attack happened. According to reports, the singer's crew attempted to use umbrellas to block photographers from taking her picture.

McDonald shared that he was “charged and punched in the face” by Scott. “In 23 years of doing this I’ve never been assaulted, let alone been punched in the face by a father,” he added.

This week, Swift's Eras Tour performances at Sydney's Accor Stadium came to a conclusion."We have had the most wonderful time. I've got to tell you that," the Grammy winner said on the stage. "You are here in one of the most exciting cities in the world, and you chose to hang out with us. Thanks guys!"
