Oscars 2024: The 96th Academy Awards ceremony brought back fond memories for fans of the blockbuster 'RRR' on Monday. The film, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, made a surprise double appearance during the show.

First, when Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt presented a special tribute to stunt performers in cinema, a thrilling action scene from 'RRR' featuring stars Jr. NTR and Ram Charan was showcased amongst clips from international films. This exciting snippet reignited excitement for the movie's high-octane action sequences.

Later, during the presentation for Best Original Score, a familiar melody filled the background as Cynthia Erivo and Ariana DeBose took the stage. It was none other than the beloved 'Naatu Naatu' song, which won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards in 2023. This unexpected inclusion of the iconic song served as a delightful reminder of "RRR's" musical triumph.

The hashtag #RRRMovie quickly started trending online after these surprise appearances. The official X handle of the film shared the clip and wrote: “And again, a sweet surprise for us…. Glad that @TheAcademy included #RRRMovie action sequence as a part of their tribute to the world’s greatest stunt sequence in cinema."

'RRR' is a Telugu-language epic period action drama that captured hearts worldwide. The film tells the fictionalised story of two Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, and their fight against British colonial rule.

The film starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, also featured Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris.
