New Delhi: 'Dune' fans, the wait is finally over. 'Dune: Part 2' will now be streaming on an OTT giant from May 21, Variety.com reported. Denis Villeneuve's epic science fiction film will be available to stream on Max. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya starrer sci-fi masterpiece collected some $500 million at the global box office, surpassing the lifetime collections of 'Dune: Part One'.

Max Movies also shared the announcement on their official X handle and wrote, "I'm pointing the way. Dune: Part Two begins streaming May 21 exclusively on @StreamOnMax. #DuneMovie #MaxGetsMovies."

The highest-grossing film on the domestic and international front, 'Dune Part 2' is based on the second half of Frank Herbert's seminal 1965 novel, and is the sequel to the highly-successful first part of the franchise 'Dune'.
'Dune 2' continues the mythic quest of Chalamet's Paul Atreides, who seeks safety in the desert after powerful royals betray his family. Austin Butler, FLorence Pug and Christopher Walken join Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Stellar Skarsgard and Josh Brolin in the 'Dune' franchise.
Dune 2 digital format release
'Dune 2' has also been available for digital rental and purchase since April 16 and in Blu-ray and DVD in 4K Ulytra HD since May 14.
As per a Variety report, the digital version of 'Dune 2' will feature several special features including four 'Filmbooks' about different aspects of the movie such as their world's scarce resource water and 'The Reverand Mother' in addition to several featurettes such as "An Ensemble for the Ages, Chakobsa Training, Creating the Fremen World, Finding the Worlds of ‘Dune,’ Buzz Around the New ‘Thopter,’ Worm-Riding and Becoming Feyd. "

Meanwhile, while a third 'Dune' movie has not been greenlit by Warner Bros, Villenueve has promised that he might go ahead with the film, based on Herbert's Dune Messiah novel, a Variety report said.
