BAFTA Awards: The 2024 Bafta TV Awards took place at London's Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, with comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan taking the stage to host the glamorous ceremony celebrating contributions to British television.
Ahead of Sunday's honors, presenters including Baby Reindeer's Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning, Jeff Goldblum, Martine Freeman, Lashana Lynch, and others were announced to add star power to the show.
The anticipation for the event heightened after the announcement of this year's Bafta Television Awards nominees in March 2024. The Crown and Black Mirror led the nominations with eight and seven nods, respectively, showcasing their dominance in this year's awards season. However, 'Top Boy' and 'Happy Valley' led the Television Awards this year while The Crown failed to win any award.
The ceremony took poignant moments to pay tribute to artists who left indelible marks on the industry and passed away in the preceding year. Among those honored were Matthew Perry, Ray Stevenson, Annie Nightingale, Sir Michael Parkinson, and others, reflecting on their significant contributions to television and beyond.
