New Delhi: The Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950, replacing the Government of India Act thereby turning our nation into a newly formed Republic. To mark this special day, the country today celebrates Republic Day on January 26 every year. As today marks the 72^nd Republic Day of our country, everything has been decorated with tricolour starting from markets to public places.
