Juhi Parmar, who plays the gentle yet strict mother Neerja in the third season of the family drama ;Yeh Meri Family', has underlined the value of growing up in the 1990s and the things that modern kids are missing out on.
The most recent season, which takes place in the spring of 1995, tells the tale of an Indian household through the eyes of the Awasthi family. In an interaction with IANS, Parmar said, "In the past, spending hours sitting together and engaging in casual conversations used to be a delightful experience among friends and kids. However, nowadays, even if they sit for just 10 minutes, they feel the need for distraction, such as their phones or music, as they easily become bored."
"They constantly look for something to keep themselves engaged, which was not the case with children in the past. Life used to move at a slower pace, and even kids felt at ease. Unfortunately, that sense of tranquility seems to be missing now, as children are always searching for more ways to occupy themselves." She further added.
Ayushmann Khurrana, who is enjoying a great deal of favourable feedback for his synth-pop song "Akh Da Taara," has a thing for stars and is known to look up at the sky with a sense of "artiste's delight."
The actor told IANS in an interview that stargazing has always been his favourite past time. He said, "I went to a meteor shower in Pune a couple of months ago. I have a few astronomer friends in Pune, and we have this telescope. We go to a farmhouse where there's less light pollution, and the entire night we just look at the stars. That’s been my favourite thing since childhood."
"I don’t look at the stars and celestial bodies just through the lens of science. To me, they seem very poetic. So, my process is very different. It’s more of an artiste's delight. I’m obsessed with the universe and the celestial bodies."
"I also do get philosophical looking at them. I write about these things normally as well, but I haven’t exposed that part in my artworks so far. Let’s see how and when this pans out," he added.
