Chennai Flood: Rajinikanth's Poes Garden House Gets Water Logged- VIDEO
A video on social media reveals extensive waterlogging not only in front of Rajinikanth's house but also throughout the entire street, underscoring the widespread impact of the Chennai flood.
The residence of Superstar Rajinikanth, located in Chennai's upscale Poes Garden area, experienced the adverse effects of the flood caused by Cyclone Michaung. A video circulating on social media reveals extensive waterlogging not only in front of Rajinikanth's house but also throughout the entire street, underscoring the widespread impact of the Chennai flood.
However, Rajinikanth was not present at his residence during this calamity as he had gone to Tirunelveli for the shooting of his upcoming film, 'Thalaivar 170.' His family, too, has relocated to another place for the time being.
Poes Garden, known for its affluence, emerged as one of the severely affected areas in the city due to the inundation caused by the flood. The video is doing the rounds on social media and fans question the state of affairs, with one user commenting on the challenging circumstances even for someone as esteemed as Rajinikanth.
Today milk, bread, bun were distributed to victims, Ambulance drivers & staff. In Poes Garden, our volunteer helped a postman to travel in the flood waters & surprisingly he delivered a post to #Thalaivar @rajinikanth home. Jam Buns were given to the ppl there. #ChennaiFloods pic.twitter.com/W5oRWCpMiS

In recent days, there has been a concerted effort by volunteers and the Tamil Nadu government to engage in flood relief work tirelessly. Several actors have also extended their support by donating funds to aid those in need.
While actor Vijay has issued a statement and engaged his organization in relief efforts, Rajinikanth has yet to address the issue. The flood situation has also impacted other actors like Namitha, Vinodhini Vaidhyanathan, Aditi Balan, Shanthanu, and Aathmika. Despite the rainfall cessation, stagnant water remains in various parts of the city, posing challenges despite government interventions. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was also reportedly rescued from Chennai's Karappakkam area, along with Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal.
On the work front, Rajinikanth's latest blockbuster was 'Jailer,' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, which garnered a remarkable global box-office collection of over Rs 650 crore. The actor's upcoming projects include a pivotal role in his daughter Aishwarya's directorial venture, 'Lal Salaam,' followed by the highly anticipated 'Thalaivar 170' directed by TJ Gnanavel. Additionally, Rajinikanth has commitments with director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Sun Pictures.
