New Delhi: Actor, producer Vivek Vaswani, who shared a close professional and personal bond with Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan during the early years of his career, dismissed longstanding rumours about SRK's relationship with actor Priyanka Chopra. Vaswani called Shah Rukh a "one-woman man" and said that he has been devoted to his wife, Gauri Khan.

Vivek Vaswani on his equation with Shah Rukh Khan
Speaking to YouTuber Siddharth Kannan, Vivek addressed the question of whether he was ever in a romantic relationship with Shah Rukh. He responded, "You mean a sexual relationship? No. He's not that sort. I don't know where the rumours came from." Vivek highlighted the context of their shared living arrangement during a period of career stress and Shah Rukh's impending marriage to Gauri, emphasising the nature of their connection as one of friendship rather than a romantic involvement.

“We were living in the same house, my parents were there, there was tension, stress about career, he had to get married to Gauri, where would a relationship be in all of this? There was a relationship of friendship,” he told Siddharth Kannan.

Clarifying further, Vivek expressed, "There was no relationship of sex. I would not even be able to think but... Unfortunately, for Shah Rukh because of his relationship with me, because he lived in my house, because of his relationship with Karan, a lot of people have tried to… as you become bigger in stature as a star, as a success, people say all sorts of things. It's not true."

Vivek on Shah Rukh being a one-woman man
Vaswani emphasised Shah Rukh's commitment to Gauri, stating, "In fact, from the time I have known him, he has been a one-woman man all his life. How many flings have you heard of? We have had one rumour of Priyanka Chopra, that also it's a rumour but what else have we heard of Shah Rukh? Nothing. He's not that kind of a person."

Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, who tied the knot in 1991, share a strong marital bond, and the couple has three children – sons Aryan and AbRam, and daughter Suhana.
