New Delhi: Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri sparked some controversy online when he removed Karan Johar from a group photo taken at the 69th National Film Awards. Agnihotri's criticism of Karan Johar's directorial choices seems to have prompted this action. Karan was there to collect the Special Jury Award for 'Shershaah,' a film he produced while Vivek Agnihotri's 'The Kashmir Files' won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration at the renowned event held recently in Delhi.
The internet is buzzing over Vivek Agnihotri's X post on the 69th National Film Awards. ‘The Kashmir Files’ director posted several images from the award ceremony, including a group shot of the winners. The fact that he removed Karan Johar by cropping has, however, attracted the attention of internet users.
Vivek Agnihotri also posted a picture he took with Waheeda Rehman, as well as photographs of Pallavi Joshi with Shreya Ghosal, Alia Bhatt, and Kriti Sanon.

Earlier, in an interview with ABPLive, Vivek was asked if we can see him making a romantic or comedy movie in the future. The director replied, “I don't think so. Let Karan Johar make it, that's his department. The day Karan Johar starts making political films, I'll start making comedy or romance films.”
On Tuesday, October 17, President Droupadi Murmu honoured the 69th National Film trophies to winners at the Vigyan Bhawan. The ceremony's highlights include Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon's Best Actress wins, as well as Allu Arjun's Best Actor award. The best director prize went to actor R Madhavan for his film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, while SS Rajamouli's ‘RRR’ took home a whopping six awards.
