Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor have worked in films like 'Bodyguard', 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'. Salman also had a hit on-screen pair with Kareena’s sister and actor Karisma Kapoor in the 90s and due to this he had met younger Kareena numerous times when she accompanied her sister on the sets. During an episode of the game show 'Dus Ka Dum', which he hosted, Salman shared a humorous story involving Kareena.
Salman Khan recalls when Kareena had his poster on her bathroom wall
Salman began by recalling how he had just shot to stardom with 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and was filming 'Nishchaiy' with Karisma Kapoor. He joked about the film being a "big flop" before diving into the amusing anecdote. “Let me tell you a story about Kareena’s betrayal,” he said, laughing. Salman narrated that Karisma once told him on set that her younger sister, Bebo (Kareena), had a poster of him in her bathroom. “I was very flattered,” Salman said in Hindi, recounting his reaction at the time.
When Kareena Kapoor replaced Salman's poster
Salman continued, “A few months later, another film called Aashiqui was released. My poster wasn’t just removed, it was torn up, and replaced with a poster of Rahul Roy.” Karisma, in her candid manner, informed Salman of the switch, saying, “Salman, now your poster is not there, now it’s Rahul Roy.” Salman even imitated Karisma’s tone as he told the story, to which Karisma responded, “Wow, Salman remembers!”
Salman and Karisma shared the screen in several films, including Andaz Apna Apna, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Biwi No. 1, and Jaagruti. He also collaborated with Kareena on movies such as Bodyguard, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.
Salman hosted Dus Ka Dum, the Indian adaptation of the international show Power of 10, across three seasons from 2008 to 2018.
