New Delhi: Actor Vijay Devarakonda is currently gearing up for his upcoming film Kushi. The actor recently promoted his film on the finale of the dance reality show Neethone Dance. A clip from the show is going viral where the actor is seen talking about how there is a little pressure from his parents for marriage as they are excited about having grandkids.
In the video, when the anchor asks him about his marriage plans, the actor replies, “My family members have been urging me to marry. My mom and dad are eager for grandchildren.”
Judge Radha then said, “Please give them that happiness.”
Vijay then said, “But I am not interested, ma’am! That’s why I jokingly suggested to them that they should get married again (laughs).”
Vijay is rumoured to be dating Rashmika Mandanna. Though the duo has never officially confirmed their relationship, they have often been spotted vacationing at the same place.
On the work front, Kushi, also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is Vijay’s first release after his Bollywood debut ‘Liger.’
In a conversation with ANI, Vijay spoke about his experience of working with Samantha and director, Shiva. "The entire process of shooting it will be one of my favourite memories forever. The two persons I spent the most time with, shared the most memories and highs and lows with, and developed the closest connections with were Shiva and Samantha. I'll always find it fun to reflect on how this movie was made,” Vijay told ANI.
During the trailer launch of ‘Kushi’, the actor spoke about the failure of ‘Liger’ and said it did hurt him.
He said, “I handle failure, consider why what went wrong, failures are really important. And, Liger was important for me. I needed a failure like Liger to learn something, because there is no institution around me that guides me. I make my own decisions, some fail and some do well. The thing about Liger that upset me was why did I not see it, that failure did not affect me so much.. for me when Vijay Deverakonda says something he makes it happen. I said Liger would be a hit but it wasn't, so how the bloody hell you did not see it. So, now I have decided for the next three films, I will shut my mouth and let my work speak-- self -inflicted punishment because I embarrassed myself, so I have given myself that punishment”.
Kushi will release on September 1.
